About the Organization:
The Ballin’ for Peace tour has been successful in many venues. We have successfully thrown Ballin’ for Peace events at Val Verde Park, Baldwin Park, Long Beach Jordan High School, Courson Park in Palmdale, Jackie Robinson Park in Little Rock, Campanella Park in Compton, Fransworth Park in Altadena, Hubert Humphrey Park in Pacoima, Venice Beach, Robinson Park in Pasadena, Washington High in Los Angeles and Pasadena City College.

Many of the venues are located in the inner cities, because we believe in order to solve a problem, you must attack it at the source. If we can get people in the inner cities to adopt the concept of peace, we can successfully start to change the way people think, which will inevitably change the way people interact and live with one another.

The centerpiece of our events is a celebrity basketball game, featuring current and former NBA players, street ball legends, and influential members of the communities, actors, and musicians. The games are exceptionally entertaining, and that is what draws the crowds to the events. However, once they arrive, people can also get information on education,
job training, health care services, and crime prevention/intervention information. The tour was a great success and received great reviews from news stations (ABC, and NBC) a national magazine (SLAM), local newspapers, politicians, and LAPD. We helped Los Angeles County change from being the most violent big city to becoming one of the safest
large cities in the nation. The mayor stated it the LA times (1-11-08) that gang homicides fell nearly 40% in 2007.
